Government misses self-imposed Easter reorganisation deadline

Preparations for local government reorganisation in Northamptonshire are moving ahead despite councils continuing to wait for a formal Government decision.

The two-tier county is expected to be split into two unitary authorities after Northamptonshire CC issued two Section 114 notices last year.
