A new department for the regions should be established, former deputy Prime Minister Lord Heseltine has argued.
Speaking in the House of Lords yesterday, Lord Heseltine said the department should ‘bring under one ministerial control the essential features of the devolution programme, including planning, public housing, transport, skills and the employment agenda’.
