Scotland could use its share of the national debt as a bargaining chip in the independence debate, according to the director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
Speaking at The MJ's Future Forum, Paul Johnson said if the nation voted to leave the UK, it would be unclear whether it would take with it its share of the national debt.
