Khan slams Google over gang violence videos

London mayor Sadiq Khan this week criticised social media giants Google and YouTube for refusing to withdraw videos that encourage gang violence and knife crime.

Mr Khan warned the media giants’ content policies ‘do not go far enough’ in tackling the gang violence and knife crime he recently invested £7m in preventing. He urged all media companies to avoid the ‘glamourisation of gang culture’.
