LEPs in Whitehall engagement warning

Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) have privately warned Whitehall departments they must improve their engagement if they are to deliver a post-Brexit boost to the UK, The MJ has learnt.

In a frank letter to communities secretary James Brokenshire following a Government review, the LEP Network – which represents the 38 partnerships - said its members would be able to deliver ministers’ ‘aggressive’ timetable for revised geographies and other reforms.
