Ministers have given a boost to sector led improvement by allowing it a key role in helping councils recover from the coronavirus.
The Local Government Association’s improvement programme (SLI) which last year delivered 129 in-house peer reviews is now offering remote peer challenges and other support through its recovery and renewal panel.
