LGA seeking Brexit assurances

The Local Government Association (LGA) has insisted there must be ‘no loss of powers for councils’ when the UK leaves the EU.

Ahead of MPs debating the EU (Withdrawal) Bill today, a LGA briefing for MPs called for the position of councils to be ‘formally enshrined in law’.
