LGA sets out key priorities

The Local Government Association (LGA) has chosen five key pieces of legislation from the Queen’s Speech to target as lobbying priorities, it has emerged.

Areas of high-profile engagement for Smith Square – which will involve briefings at every stage through parliament, working with supportive MPs and peers, media coverage and working with lead departments – include the Cities and Local Government Devolution Bill, the Housing Bill, the Education and Adoption Bill, the Enterprise Bill and the Full Employment and Welfare Benefits Bill.
