Liverpool chief executive re-bailed, police confirm

Liverpool City Council boss Ged Fitzgerald was yesterday among four men re-bailed on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and witness intimidation.

Mr Fitzgerald ‘voluntarily stepped aside’ as chief executive and head of paid service for the Liverpool city region combined authority last month.
