Local audit is at a ‘crossroads’ and needs to provide ‘better assurance and more impact for the public,’ Grant Thornton has said.
In a submission to a National Audit Office consultation, Grant Thornton said the new code of audit practice created a ‘unique opportunity to change course and to help secure the future of local audit’.
