Local belonging figures drop

The proportion of people who feel like they belong to their local area has dipped, research from the Office for National Statistics has suggested.

Social Capital in the UK 2020 found that the percentage of people across the UK who agreed or strongly agreed they belong to their local area fell from 69% in 2014/15 to 62% in 2017/18.
