Councils are not equipped to carry out the large-scale construction of housing, a leading think-tank has said in reaction to the Prime Minister’s housing announcement today.
Speaking at the Conservative Party Conference, Theresa May said that the Government will help build a ‘new generation of council houses’ as she announced an extra £2bn for affordable housing.
