MHCLG: Councils are not doing enough to prepare for Brexit

Councils are not doing enough to prepare for Brexit and need to step up their game, the concerned Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has told sector figures.

With two months to go until Brexit and local resilience forums (LRF) planning on the assumption of no deal, MHCLG is understood to have particular concerns around the impact on the delivery of vital adult social care, which has high numbers of non-UK EU workers and where pressures have been growing.
