National Test and Trace failed to draw on councils' expertise

MPs have questioned the impact of the NHS Test and Trace programme and urged it to collaborate more with local authorities.

A report by the Public Accounts Committee questioned why the national scheme failed to draw on local expertise when it was established, which councils have said would have resulted in a better system.
