New directors add to improvement pace

Croydon LBC’s new executive director and director of early help and children’s social care have quickly made improvements to the council’s inadequate children’s services, Ofsted has said.

The council’s sixth monitoring visit since the local authority was judged inadequate in September 2017 said children were ‘beginning to receive a better quality of service and the pace of improvement is accelerating’.
