New enforcement powers expected next week

Tougher coronavirus enforcement powers promised to local authorities are expected to be in place from next week.

Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham said this afternoon he expects the political process to be wrapped up at Westminster soon after Parliament reconvenes.
