No accord for trimming number of Welsh councils

The Welsh local government secretary has conceded there is no consensus around cutting the number of councils.

In a statement to the Welsh Assembly last week, Mark Drakeford, said while responses to the recent consultation on the Draft Local Government Bill showed there was support for some reforms there was ‘no consensus on the future structure of local government’.
