No point pursuing Yorkshire-wide devolution deal, says Sheffield South East MP

An influential MP has warned council leaders not to waste their time on ‘meaningless discussions’ exploring a Yorkshire-wide devolution deal.

Chairman of the Communities and Local Government Committee, Clive Betts, who is also the MP for Sheffield South East, said the idea was a ‘non-starter’.
