Northamptonshire commissioners warn of financial risks

The funding of children’s services poses a ‘significant risk’ to Northamptonshire CC and the viability of its successors, commissioners have warned.

In a report to the Government, commissioners Tony McArdle and Brian Roberts said that children’s social care ‘remains a significant financial risk’ and was ‘fundamental to the recovery of the council, and, ultimately, the viability of the new unitary councils’.
