Northamptonshire finance officer who issued Section 114 quits

Northamptonshire CC’s chief finance officer has handed in his resignation weeks after issuing an early warning the council already risks missing key savings targets.

The MJ understands that staff were told about the departure of Mark McLaughlin at the same time as they were informed that interim chief executive Andrew Quincey will be leaving the council on 27 July to start a new role working on a public construction project in Australia.
