Partnership working on housing is vital

Given the scale and depth of the housing crisis, it’s easy to point the finger or look for the exciting new policy idea that will crack the problem. But like anyone who’s spent their career in the sector, I know that the solutions to the housing crisis are as complex as the causes.

I’m convinced we can achieve a step-change in the number of genuinely affordable homes being built, but the tools needed to achieve this are not in any one set of hands. This means partnership working on housing isn’t just nice to have – it’s absolutely vital.
