Plea for commitment to finance reform

Local government has asked for short-term certainty and long-term reform of funding for the sector.

Giving evidence to the Public Accounts Committee, finance lead for chief executives' organisation Solace, Martin Reeves, led calls for a three-year settlement to act as a ‘bridge’ while preparations were laid for fundamental reform of the ‘broken’ system of funding.
