Pocklington takes on top role at Ministry

Jeremy Pocklington has been named as the new permanent secretary for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

He will replace Dame Melanie Dawes, who left in February to take up the role of chief executive of Ofcom. Mr Pocklington joined the ministry in 2018 as director general for housing and has headed up the ministry as acting permanent secretary since her departure.
