The chairman of the Local Government Association (LGA) has expressed his regret at being unable to make enough of a difference after the Grenfell Tower fire.
Speaking at the District Councils’ Network national conference yesterday - for the last time as chairman of the LGA - Lord Porter said Grenfell was local government’s ‘biggest shame’.
