Public health director highlights local rise in COVID cases

A director of public health has highlighted a rise in cases of COVID-19 as modelling finds the country is ‘highly likely’ to be hit by a third wave of infections once lockdown ends.

Warwickshire’s director of public health Shade Agboola said she began to see numbers of cases increasing two weeks ago due partly to children going back to school, with the majority of cases in children aged 11-16.
