Raynes bags combined authority post

Smith Square’s former head of programmes, Paul Raynes, is to join the team of directors at the new Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.

Mr Raynes, who will stand down as a Conservative councillor at Cambridgeshire CC because of the potential conflict of interest with the politically restricted director's post, is expected to start as director of strategy and planning under Conservative mayor James Palmer on 3 September.
