Rogers expected to carry on in SOLACE role

Liverpool City Council’s under-fire boss is unlikely to become the public face of English local authority chief executives, The MJ understands.

Ged Fitzgerald, as senior vice president of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE), was expected to take over from the organisation’s president Mark Rogers, chief executive of Birmingham City Council, from October.
