STP fears as bosses ‘not confident’ about delivery

Fresh concerns about sustainability and transformation plans (STP) have been raised after a survey found senior council figures lacked the confidence they will deliver on social care.

The survey of council leaders and adult social care directors and portfolio holders – carried out by The MJ and older people’s charity Independent Age – found seven in 10 were either not very confident or not confident at all that STPs in their area will help them deliver their social care priorities.
