Scrap private finance for public buildings, says Unite

Trade union Unite has called for the use of private finance to build public buildings in Scotland to be scrapped.

The union demanded a national inquiry into the value for money of private finance contracts after it emerged that at least 71 more schools in Scotland have similar defects to the Edinburgh schools judged to be unsafe.
