Solace Summit: Not appointing can sometimes be the best decision

Failing to make a senior level appointment after a lengthy recruitment process can sometimes be the best decision, delegates at a chief executives’ conference have heard.

Launching a guide to the senior recruitment process, managing director of chief executives’ organisation Solace, Graeme McDonald, said: ‘Often a bad appointment is worse than no appointment at all.

'Not appointing – as reluctant as we are – can sometimes be the right decision.’
