Somerset kids’ services ‘still need improvement’

Ofsted has told Somerset CC’s ‘inadequate’ children’s services that ‘notable room for improvement remains’.

In a letter to the council’s director of children’s services, Julian Wooster, inspector Emmy Tomsett pointed out the ‘vast majority’ of social worker caseloads still exceeded the target of 14 children at any one time.
