Somerset unitary plan 'too big'

South Somerset DC councillors have claimed proposals for a single county unitary are based on ‘failed examples of local government’.

The council said the ‘too big’ One Somerset plan was a ‘risky experiment,’ which featured ‘inadequate evidence, and demonstrates a high risk of bad outcomes for residents and communities’.
