Chancellor Rishi Sunak is expected announce a further £5bn to rescue high streets in the Budget on Wednesday.
Around 700,000 shops, pubs, restaurants, hotels, hair salons and other businesses will be in line for ‘restart grants’ of up to £18,000 which will be administered by local authorities from April.
