The rise of local authority housing companies

It is not news that the UK’s local authorities remain in the grip of a funding squeeze. Costs have been slashed and many services scaled back or closed. Yet it is not all doom and gloom – councils are exploring various new revenue sources to ensure they can replace lost income.

One idea rapidly growing in popularity is delivery through a local housing company (LHC).
