Transport and planning directors have warned that allowing councils to join more than one combined authority is too expensive and complicated.
In its submission to the Department for Communities and Local Government’s consultation on the subject, the Association of Directors of Environment, Economy, Planning and Transport (ADEPT) said they would not like to see ‘areas included in more than one combined authority’.
