‘Unacceptable’ changes sees LGA withdraw support for guidance

The Local Government Association (LGA) has withdrawn its support from the Better Care Fund (BCF) planning requirements – the latest indication of deteriorating relations between the two sectors.

It came after ‘unacceptable, last-minute and significant’ changes were made to the guidance issued in March which mean councils have to submit by tomorrow draft targets for reducing bed-blocking attributable to social care.
