It might have made some uncomfortable viewing for some in the sector – and even more so for management consultants – but there’s no doubting ‘Who’s Spending Britain’s Billions?’ made for interesting television last week.

For those who didn’t catch it, this was the BBC documentary into public spending, fronted by journalist Jaques Peretti, which examined a range of public sector case studies, looking at whether public funds were wisely used.
