Unitary hopefuls outline transition plan

Four local authorities involved in a potential new Dorset-based unitary have outlined their work programme ahead of a government decision over reorganisation.

Senior councillors from Bournemouth Council, Christchurch BC, Poole Council and Dorset CC met on 30 October under the banner of a Joint Committee, which will oversee their potential transition to unitary status.
