Hertfordshire CC is recommissioning two vacant council-owned former care homes over the next two weeks to provide extra capacity during COVID-19 for patients discharged from hospital.
The council will fund the scheme using part of the £20m grant pooled with the NHS - its share of the £1.3bn grant from the Government aimed at freeing up hospital beds.
