Walking the commercial tightrope

The chancellor’s Budget brought some welcome financial support for adult social care while recognising that the gaps are much bigger financially and the issues much wider than just delayed discharges from hospitals.

It was a short-term reaction to a longer-term problem. However, the latter was recognised in the intention to also publish a green paper on adult social care later this year.
