We can’t take the pain of dementia away, but we can make it easier

The Hampshire health and wellbeing board’s most recent report focuses on how to combat the inequalities in mental health and wellbeing across Hampshire.

The report highlights that dementia is affecting more people than ever before – and says in England the proportion of people being prescribed medication for it increased from 2019 to 2020. But worse still is that fewer people have care plans to help manage this. This is a huge concern.
