Whitehall attempts to reassure councils on Brexit

Whitehall has insisted it is working to help councils prepare for a hard Brexit despite claims some authorities have been left to fend for themselves.

A Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government spokesman this week said ministers and officials were ‘meeting regularly with local government to plan for Brexit under all scenarios’.
