Write strategic planning back into the system

Last month, chief executives got together for a half-day seminar to discuss the Association of County Chief Executives’ (ACCE) priorities going forward.

The most striking outcome was the strength of feeling for strategic planning to be written back into the planning system. This mirrors the appetite from elected members in the County Councils’ Network (CCN) to have an increased role in housing, planning, and infrastructure.
