A Budget for pensions?

Looking ahead to next week’s Budget, the local government community, in the midst of adjusting to significant spending cuts, will be waiting to see if the ‘reforming chancellor’ has anything else up his sleeve.

One area that’s come under his focus over the past year has been the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). It’s hard to see how the current reform agenda here wouldn’t get a mention on 16 March.
