A judgement on devolution

At the Lawyers in Local Government (LLG) Governance conference earlier this month, the delegates were treated to a discourse on leadership from none other than Bill Beaumont OBE whose session was a fitting end to the conference.

During the conference a round table event was held about the future of local government legal services and what it would look like. The conclusion was, following on from the devolution agenda, that local authority legal departments would become legal advisors to the public sector at large.
