Accountancy bodies move to offer dual membership

Two accountancy bodies are putting the ‘finishing touches’ to the registration process for an accelerated route to dual membership.

Insiders said the move by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) aims to make it easier for members to switch between the public and private sector, widening the pool of auditors.
