BCP is a different ball game

Local government reorganisation is not always a straightforward and smooth transition – but some places have a bumpier ride than most.

Graham Farrant, chief executive of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP), was warned when he started that it would take a decade to pull the three councils into one. He tells The MJ he thought he could do it faster – but he thinks 10 years may be about right, judging on the current pace.
