Best Value Notices issued over debt concerns

The Government has issued Best Value Notices to two debt-laden councils.

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) outlined concerns over finances at Runnymede BC and Eastleigh BC, which have the third and fourth highest borrowing relative to size of all councils after Woking and Spelthorne.
