Concerns over funding supported housing regulation

The Government has yet to devise the system to fund councils’ regulation of supported housing, mandarins have admitted.

Councils will be tasked with strategic planning, licensing and enforcement for exempt accommodation under MP Bob Blackman’s Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Bill, which is awaiting Royal Assent.
