Delayed discharges up since 2021 despite £1.3bn extra funding

Delayed hospital discharges have risen by 14% in two years despite the Government investing £1.3bn in tackling the issue.

According to NHS England data, the ‘number of patients remaining in hospital who no longer meet the criteria to reside’ stood at 12,628 on October 31.
